BAND OF THE DAY: UNDEAD CREEP

Featuring two of Sicilian death dealers Haemophagus, it's reasonably to wonder what the point is of yet another old school death metal knockabout from the same set of people. But, if anything, it's a sign of artistic credibility, and the reason why both bands are hella rad. While Haemophagus are all about the crusty gore of Autopsy, early Carcass and Impetigo, Undead Creep have brewed up a frostier blend of Stockholm worship, with the usual savage reference points of Dismember, Entombed and Nihilist, delivered with a clattery punk chaos and that genuine lust for primordial darkness that makes Haemophagus so undeniably evil.

The band's 2009 tape/CD-r demo was the absolute bizniz and their debut album, 'The Ever-Burning Torch', which is due June on CD through Dark Descent and LP through Iconoclast, is going to be insane.
